On 7/14/2014, while employing a Canon "Rebel" T3i digital camera with an adapted Meade 1,000 mm f:11 telescope, this unusual colored and sidelighted waning full Moon was recorded from Mother's Beach in the Marina del Rey Ca. at 10:00PM. Two evenings after the SuperMoon on 7/12/2014.
Extraordinary for its normal appearance, the light glancing off the earth at a slight lumination creates the rare hue of orange coloring of the entire Moon with a more precise visible distinction of the craters unusually definied to the right. This tint of orange in coloring resembles the "Blood Moon" image on 4/14/2014 seen at: rvmann.com/artwork/3550952_Blood_Moon_4?
This Waning Super-Moon is one of my favorite images.
